Samsung has restated its commitment to meet the ever-changing needs of Nigerian consumers, noting that move is a clear demonstration of Samsung’s confidence in Nigeria.

Speaking at its flagship brand store grand opening, the Mobile experience Group Head, Samsung West Africa, Jot Tim-Ayoola, said the grand opening is the second brand store where consumers can experience all Samsung products cutting across consumer electronics, appliances and mobile devices.

According to her, plans are ongoing to open more Samsung brand stores across the country, adding that Samsung is known and affiliated with quality, premium and pocket friendly prices. She said despite the harsh and competitive terrain, Samsung is very critical about consumer demand.

“What we do is listen to the consumer, understand their needs and see how much we can address their challenges. These are some of the things we do to make sure that we stay on a competitive edge as much as the economy is still tough while consumers can still enjoy their lifestyle,” she said.

She added that Samsung is currently working to improve its consumer engagement campaigns on how best to get affordable and efficient service delivery.

“One thing about this beautiful location across the Lekki axis is that it will give access to consumers who live around this axis and who are experiential by nature in terms of making choices before they buy a lifestyle product.

This location will give them an opportunity where they can walk in, pick up any of our Samsung products, experience our new devices and even have an opportunity to see what our technology is to make their life easier and better to connect with friends, loved ones and families,” she said.

Also speaking, the Founder and Chairman, Rifugio Communications, Dr. Kayode Thomas, said the vision of Rifugio as partners of Samsung is to be a leading mobile and enterprise solution provider, saying that apart from the product manufactured outside the country, everything else is locally sourced.

“For now, we are doing as much as we can on the local content and as much as the environment allows,” he said. He said amid the highly competitive and harsh terrain for doing business in the country, Samsung is committed to maintaining a reasonable and affordable price for its customers for a long period of time.

“Samsung does very well in terms of protecting the consumers when it comes to price hikes. The consumer is always protected and you will not find prices just changing anyhow. Our prices are very stable and even when things are tough, we maintain those prices for a very long time before you see any movement in price,” he added.
