Government tasked on bridging digital gender inequality
Disturbed by the parlous number of females taking up science and technology-related professions in the country, Health Aid For All Initiative (HAFAI) has called on government and relevant stakeholders to bridge the digital gender gap in the country.Â
The Executive Director, Dr. Ugochi Ohajuruka, who made the appeal at an event to mark the 2021 International Day of Girl Child yesterday in Abuja, lamented that the gender had been left behind in technology, sciences and mathematics.Â
She noted that, “technology is very important and it is crucial that the girl child gains skills to achieve her goal. We are saying leave no girl behind as all girls must be involved in technology and innovations.”
