When St Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday, there is, no doubt, it seamlessly extends into the weekend, making this year’s celebration a-can’t-miss for everyone who has a heart filled with love both for him/herself and others.

When St Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday, there is, no doubt, it seamlessly extends into the weekend, making this year’s celebration a-can’t-miss for everyone who has a heart filled with love both for him/herself and others.

Of course, the timeless thematic preoccupation is ‘Love’, which contrary to popular belief is not restricted to lovers and the plots that lead to the bedroom affairs or that gentleman or lady who gives you butterflies, rather it is a symbolic celebration of love for everyone in your life, your boss, colleague, friend, neighbour, parents, children, siblings, mentors, etc. who take up the unconditional responsibility of making you a better person.

The people in your life who never give up on you even in your worst moments, those who pulled you up when the tussles of life was drowning you, those who gave you a hand and lifted you up when you fell, those who held your hands when you couldn’t steady your feet, those who comforted and gave you a ray of hope when life came crashing down on you, those who saw your tears from within even when you try to hide it and helped you wiped it off, those who see you flaws and love you regardless, those who help you make lemonade out of your lemons – those who love you through thick and thin, those who make your heart race in ways that can’t be expressed in words, those whose love for you stays in the air for all seasons.

These are the people worthy of celebrating this bonus Valentine’s Day weekend with, the people that make your life meaningful through diverse definition; they are your real Valentine’s Day MVP this weekend.
How to celebrate
your loved ones:

• Start with what you can afford and go as big as your wallets can take – nothing is too much or big for loved ones so long as you can comfortably afford it without having to rob a bank.

• Don’t just drop the gift, add a note and do an appreciation speech, let them know how much you love, cherish and appreciate them and ensure to add that the gift however big is only a token of your love, as nothing money can buy would truly show how much you appreciate their being a part of your life.

• Dine and whine in a perfect love themed ambience.

• Celebrate them every day after as true love is expressed on a daily basis.
