The 2024 edition of TEDxMambillaStreet delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking experience in Abuja, drawing together leading experts and innovators to discuss groundbreaking ideas under the theme ‘Portals’.

The sold-out event featured a lineup of distinguished speakers tackling critical issues shaping Nigeria and Africa’s future. Former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, addressed energy independence, while Adaeze Oreh spoke passionately about healthcare equity. Daere Akobo emphasised data sovereignty, and Jane Egerton-Idehen explored the evolving landscape of public service.

Other thought leaders, including Iyobosa Rehoboth on career evolution amid technological disruption, Kate Okoh-Kpina on gender inclusion, and Uka Eje on stakeholder economics, provided invaluable insights into pressing social and economic challenges.

Speaking on the event’s impact, Joshua Ofor, the Lead Organiser, highlighted its mission to challenge perspectives and open doors to new opportunities for Africa. “Our speakers didn’t just present ideas—they offered practical portals to a reimagined future for Africa,” he stated.

TEDxMambillaStreet has established itself as a vital platform for idea exchange, community building, and dialogue in Nigeria’s capital, sparking conversations that inspire action and drive innovation.

As an independently organised TED event, TEDxMambillaStreet continues to serve as a beacon for forward-thinking discussions, helping to shape a brighter and more sustainable future for Nigeria and the African continent.
