Experts to explore subnational, rating agencies’ role in infrastructure development
Stakeholders would explore how credit rating agencies could help subnational governments and entities access capital markets, attract private sector participation, and lower borrowing costs for infrastructure development at this year’s international rating webinar.
Hosted by DataPro Credit Rating Agency, with the theme ‘Role of Subnational and Credit Rating Agencies in Infrastructure Development,’ the event, expected to benefit businesses and society at large, would also discover new opportunities and challenges in the Nigerian and African markets.
In a statement, the webinar, which is scheduled for October 12, would have experts discuss how pension funds can invest in infrastructure projects, generate stable, attractive returns and diversify their portfolios, as well as support national development.
The panelists, Managing Director of Africa Plus Partners, Niran Ajakiaye, and the Chief Executive Officer of Africa Infra Plus Fund, Anhad Narula, are expected to present their perspectives on how both firms are bridging the gap between pension funds and infrastructure development in Nigeria.
