FG urged to adopt eco-friendly technologies to tackle power outages
The Federal Government has been implored to invest in eco-friendly technologies to check power outages which have become more frequent.Vice President, Secure Power, Anglophone Africa, Schneider Electric, Ben Selier, said this at the 40th anniversary of APC, a Schneider Electric brand.
He said APC’s UPS solutions are more relevant than ever, supporting digital transformation and ensuring operational continuity for businesses in Nigeria and globally.
He noted that the advancement in various power solutions including its launch of the 750 model, has helped to redefine power resilience, providing critical backup and surge protection across industries, helping Nigerian businesses address its energy demands, ensuring extra reliability, sustainability, and economic productivity.
“The Back-UPS became the foundation for APC’s growth,” said co-founder Emanuel “Manny” Landsman. “It was built to lower costs while ensuring reliable power, values that have driven APC’s mission to this day.”
