Nigerian HR and AI Educator Abiodun Alabi, a, has been nominated for the Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 under the Women in Tech Community Award category. The recognition celebrates her commitment to empowering women, professionals, and communities through technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and inclusive digital education.
Abiodun’s nomination comes as a result of her impactful community-driven projects, including the AI for HER Webinar Series, HR Automation Bootcamp, and the Google Calendar Immunisation Initiative for immunisation reminder, all of which demonstrate her mission to make technology practical, inclusive, and life-changing for women and families.
Through her work as the Founder of MotherhoodNG Initiative and MotherhoodNG Academy, Abiodun has trained hundreds of women and young people to embrace AI as a tool for opportunity, from improving workplace efficiency to saving lives in underserved communities.
The AI for HER Webinar, organised in celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, empowered over 100 women with hands-on skills in AI tools for business and career growth. Through the Google Calendar Immunisation Initiative, Abiodun addresses a critical challenge in childhood immunization: the lack of consistent reminders that cause many children to miss vital vaccines. Her solution repurposes a simple, everyday tool, Google Calendar, into an immuniation reminder system. She trains mothers and community birth attendants using a train-the-trainers model to set, share, and manage vaccination schedules, ensuring no child is left behind due to missed immunization dates.
Through Feat Business Consult, Abiodun launched the HR Automation Bootcamp, a hands-on program that introduced HR professionals to no-code AI tools for automating repetitive tasks, optimising workflows, and enhancing productivity. The bootcamp helped participants adopt practical AI tools to improve recruitment, employee engagement, and data-driven decision-making in the workplace
Speaking about the nomination, Abiodun shared, “This recognition is not just about me, it’s about the women, mothers, and professionals who are discovering the power of technology to change their stories. My vision has always been to make AI and digital tools simple enough for anyone to use, whether in the boardroom or in the community.”
The Women in Tech Global Awards, organised by WomenTech Network, Paris-based global network, celebrate women who are using technology to drive impact and inclusion across industries and communities worldwide.
Abiodun’s work continues to inspire a new generation of women in Africa and beyond to see technology not as a barrier, but as a bridge, connecting them to education, income, and opportunities that transform lives.
