As women struggle to keep balance between work life and home management, the need for domestic helps is paramount.

Hence, a new book by Seyi Banigbe is calling on all corporate professionals and entrepreneurs who employ the service of domestic helps to build better relationships with them to improve their own work productivity and wellbeing.

Speaking during the launch of the book titled ‘Can You Handle HELP?’ the lawyer and serial entrepreneur who is passionate about Africans being financially empowered alongside living their dreams said: “Your relationship with your domestic help is directly linked to your personal success. Having someone to watch your baby at home is sometimes the difference between you getting a multi-million dollar deal or a great job opportunity.”

In the book, Banigbe offers proven strategies with relatable experiences on how to hire, retain and optimise domestic help successfully.

“If you pay anyone to help you with cleaning and any other menial tasks, then this book will help you manage this relationship effectively,” she said.

She also encouraged corporate organisations to get the book for their employees to boost productivity in the work place, adding that, “it is high time women stopped quitting their jobs to take care of family.”

Banigbe, who is also the founder of jewelry brand, Bland2Glam, and talk show, Binging with GameChangers, also shares how people could tackle sexual issues with domestic helps in the book.

“Gender equality is a hot topic globally and without tackling fundamental issues such as optimising domestic helps, gender equality would remain a far-fetched ideal in Nigeria,” she noted.

She stressed that the issue of women balancing work and home management was more important now than ever before, adding that the book has been positioned to solve many problems faced by women trying to achieve both professional and home management goals.
