Leading African cryptocurrency expert, Thembi Portia Shilenge, has discussed how she has used her wealth to improve the lives of many Africans.
Born and raised in a South African village, Thembi Portia Shilenge has become a prominent figure across various domains, including philanthropy, where she helps people build their futures as cryptocurrency experts.

Thembi Shilenge is undeniably one of the foremost cryptocurrency trading figures in Africa, serving as a role model for the younger generation and emphasizing the importance of education in achieving success.
Thembi Shilenge, founder of Crypto Dimensions Academy, pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology and graduated in 2014 with a B.Tech degree.
In 2015, she gained qualifications in finance, business, and management skills at the Sage Pastel Accounting Academy. Following this, she worked at Anglo Platinum for two years as a chemical engineer. Over the years, the successful businesswoman held positions at several companies, including Amalungla Minerals, ChromTech Holdings, the Department of Public Works, Kroondal Platinum Mine, City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality, and SABMiller Plc.
Born in South Africa 30 years ago, Thembi Portia Shilenge realized, after years of being employed, that the key to wealth lay in not working for others. In 2017, she ventured into cryptocurrency trading, mining, and staking bitcoins with Poloniex Exchange. With dedication, focus, creativity, and ingenuity, she explored other digital cryptocurrencies such as ripple, ethereum, monero, and dashcoin.
Taking a risk and initially trading with a margin of $1000 or slightly less, Thembi Shilenge has become an international icon and a highly respected cryptocurrency figure in the financial technology industry. In 2018, she founded Crypto Dimensions Academy, a platform through which she has created hundreds of millionaires across the continent, reflecting her success, global influence, and dominance in the field.
Earlier this year, Thembi Shilenge, known for her philanthropic efforts, returned to her hometown of Mmakaunyane, South Africa, where she was born and educated. She donated 50,000 sanitary pads to five schools to support education and ensure that nothing hinders girls from accessing education.
Thembi Shilenge commented on the charitable initiative, saying, “My Crypto dimensions team (Crypto Dimensions is my company name) decided to give back to the community in celebration of Youths Day. We chose my village, Mmakaunyane, where I was born and raised, because of the situation there. At Mmakaunyane, there are no facilities, especially for the girls.
“We have donated about 50,000 sanitary pads to 5 schools, namely, Khubamelo Primary school (this is where I began my education), Mmasempane primary school, Mmakaunyane high school, Makgatlha Nong primary school, and Dirisanang secondary school.
“We did this charity sanitary campaign with the help of Mmakaunyane mayor Mr. Mbekwa. I always believe charity begins at home, hence I chose the village where I was born and raised. And I believed it made a difference in a girl’s life. The aim was to restore a girl’s dignity.
“No girl deserves to miss school or class due to a lack of sanitary pads. It also helped to restore their confidence, as we didn’t just donate but also educated these young girls on the importance of education.”
