The Guardian Nigeria, in partnership with Federal Palace Resort, Victoria Island, is inviting corporate organisations, government agencies, development institutions, NGOs and philanthropists to partner with the Guardian Woman Festival 2027, a month-long celebration of women, enterprise, leadership and wealth creation.

Scheduled for March 1–31, 2027, the festival will hold under the theme “Women as Wealth Creators,” with activities taking place at Federal Palace throughout the month and a flagship Guardian Woman Festival anchoring the programme.

The month-long platform offers organisations an opportunity to sponsor, host or co-create conferences, masterclasses, exhibitions, networking sessions, CSR initiatives and other programmes that advance women’s economic participation and leadership.

The initiative builds on the successful expansion of the Guardian Woman Festival into a month-long programme in 2026, creating a sustained platform for engagement rather than limiting conversations on women to a single day or event.

Guardian Woman Festival Convener and Executive Director of Federal Palace Resort, Anita Athena Ibru, said the 2027 edition recognises the growing contribution of Nigerian women to enterprise, innovation and economic development.

“When we invest in women through knowledge, networks, opportunity, contacts and mentorship, we strengthen families, organisations, and the economy,” Ibru said.

The 2027 festival will also connect with the global International Women’s Day conversation around “Balance the Scales,” reinforcing the need for greater equity and opportunity for women and girls.

For partners, the festival provides an opportunity to align corporate purpose, CSR and ESG priorities with a high-impact platform focused on women while gaining access to The Guardian’s extensive media ecosystem and the diverse audiences of Guardian Woman.

Federal Palace Resort adds another dimension to the partnership. The historic venue was opened around Nigeria’s Independence celebrations in 1960 and has hosted significant national and cultural gatherings, including FESTAC ’77.
The 2027 festival will commemorate the 50th anniversary of FESTAC ’77, highlighting the role of culture, creativity and women in building economic and social value.

Ibru described Federal Palace as “a living property, not just a building where events happen,” underscoring its role as a space for leadership, culture, connection and national development.

Organisations can book spaces and propose programmes for March 2–30, with opening and closing ceremonies scheduled for March 1 and 31, respectively.

The Guardian Woman Festival 2027 presents partners with an opportunity to move beyond statements about women’s empowerment and invest directly in platforms that create visibility, knowledge, connections and opportunities for women.
