For more than a decade, Brisa Women Foundation has been at the forefront of transforming the lives of women and girls, thanks to the vision and leadership of its founder, Nwachukwu Delphine Onyinye. Rooted in empowerment and compassion, the foundation offers a holistic approach to uplifting women through education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, medical aid, and access to life-changing opportunities.

“Our goal is to foster economic independence and personal growth for women and girls,” says Delphine, reflecting on the journey that began over ten years ago. Since its inception, the foundation has impacted numerous communities with programs designed to build self-reliance and resilience among women, particularly those in vulnerable situations.

This year marks another significant milestone, as the foundation prepares to host its latest edition of empowerment programme slated for 28th June, 2025 at Ikoyi. Participants can look forward to impactful training in digital marketing, interior design, and various vocational skills tailored to today’s evolving economic landscape. But perhaps the most anticipated development is the launch of EmpowerPlate—a global food and medicine drive targeted at supporting women and children in need.

According to Delphine, EmpowerPlate is a timely response to growing hardships faced by underserved populations. “It’s about meeting immediate needs while continuing to build long-term empowerment,” she notes.

Through her work, Delphine has become a beacon of hope for women facing personal and societal challenges. Her advice is simple but powerful: “You are not alone. Seek support, stay resilient, and never stop believing in your worth. Every challenge you overcome adds to your strength.”

Looking ahead, she envisions a bold future for Brisa Women Foundation. “In five years, we aim to become a global force with empowerment hubs across Africa and beyond,” she says. “We want to reach millions with sustainable education, healthcare, and empowerment initiatives.”
