No fewer than 70 children, aged between 10 and 17 years, from the Langbasa and Addo communities of Ajah Lagos, participated in the Archbishop JKA Aggey Foundation’s 2025 Summer/Vacation Schools Programme, held in collaboration with the Kiddies Mirror Helping Hand Initiative.
Speaking at the event, media practitioner, Janefrance Ebere Chibuzor, advised: “Children should listen attentively, be law-abiding, and stay focused. Don’t copy bad behaviour. Instead, use your talents and skills positively. Never compare yourself to others, because each child is unique and important for Nigeria’s future development and GDP.”
Administrator of Archbishop JKA Aggey Foundation, Mr. Obi Anthony Imoleayomaria, inspired the children with the life story of Archbishop Dr. JKA Aggey, stressing education, exposure, and endurance as keys to becoming reliable and responsible citizens.
Programme Manager of Kiddies Mirror Helping Hand Initiative, Owolo Felicia, encouraged the children to take their studies seriously, embrace creativity, and build character for the future.
The day featured a variety of engaging activities:Children read poems and delivered public speaking presentations. They showcased professional career explorations, with groups role-playing Chemical Engineers, Priests, Football Stars, and Medical Doctors
There were sessions on self-discovery and self-development encouraged them to find their unique strengths. The event ended joyfully with gifts presented to outstanding children by Mr. Anthony Awolu, alongside recognition of Kiddies Mirror’! Helping Hand initiative, elebration closed with music, dancing, food, and laughter, leaving smiles on every child’s face.
This collaboration showed that when communities invest in children, they don’t just learn they shine.
