Women of Rubies celebrates 10 years of amplifying women’s voices across the globe

RUBIES

Women of Rubies, a global women’s empowerment and storytelling platform founded by Esther Ijewere, proudly celebrates a decade of impact, advocacy, and visibility for women across diverse sectors.

Launched in 2015, Women of Rubies has grown from a platform spotlighting changemakers to an international media and empowerment hub with over 3,000 women featured and a digital community spanning Canada, Nigeria, the UK, and the U.S.

The platform’s signature programs, including the Media Visibility Bootcamp, Sip and Network and Rubies Collective Community, have empowered more than 600 women with tools to build authentic brands, tell their stories confidently, and position themselves as thought leaders.

Reflecting on this milestone, Esther Ijewere, Founder of Women of Rubies, said: “This 10-year journey has been one of grace, growth, and impact. From profiling trailblazers in remote communities to hosting global conversations on women’s empowerment, every story we’ve shared reinforces one truth, that women’s voices matter, and their stories shape the world.”

A major part of the platform’s evolution has been its collaboration with The Guardian Newspaper, where Esther Ijewere pens a weekly column spotlighting women driving change across sectors. The column has become a trusted space for authentic narratives, celebrating everyday heroines and amplifying voices often underrepresented in mainstream media.

Esther expressed her gratitude to The Guardian and Mr. Toke Alex Ibru, Publisher of The Guardian Newspapers, for their continued support of women-led stories and platforms:

“We are deeply grateful to The Guardian and Mr. Toke Alex Ibru for providing a consistent platform where women’s stories can shine. Their belief in storytelling as a force for social change has played a vital role in our decade of impact.”

As part of its 10th-anniversary celebration, Women of Rubies will host a special edition of the Media Visibility Bootcamp 5.0, a two-day virtual event scheduled for November 22–23, 2025, featuring global thought leaders and industry experts sharing insights on media visibility, branding, and leadership.

Over the years, Women of Rubies has partnered with organizations and individuals who share its mission; to celebrate, connect, and empower women to rise and lead with purpose.

“Our goal for the next decade is expansion to build a stronger ecosystem where women can access media support, mentorship, and community all year round,” Ijewere added.
