Women, youths laud group at community hangout

Women and youths have applauded WAZOBIA 95.1 FM Lagos, a pidgin-English radio, for rewarding them with cash and gifts for their loyalty and patronage during a hangout.

Women and youths have applauded WAZOBIA 95.1 FM Lagos, a pidgin-English radio, for rewarding them with cash and gifts for their loyalty and patronage during a hangout.

The hangout, which held in Yaba, Lagos, had in attendance on-air personalities including Uzo Ododo-Oba, Ada dum dum , Seneye-last born, Tobo Belle, Calabar girls, Chief Soo, DJ General Indo, Nkobi.

Attendees had the opportunity to meet their favourite on-air personalities, take pictures, network and strengthen their contacts and relationships.

Speaking at the event, Programmes Manager of the station, Mr. Uche Nwaneri said, “as a family station, we give people the platform to express their thoughts, individualities, personalities and still live peaceful. We also support people physically, emotionally and financially through our networks.”

Nwaneri noted that they provide assistance to people using the radio and its social media platforms to keep families’ sanity, manage stressful homes and offices.

Also speaking, on-air personality, Ratata said: “We want to interact with our fans and Nigerian families on radio, who listen. We want to see, touch and mix with them. As a family radio, we encourage happy families and frown at domestic violence, we also urge women to be skillful and open to new opportunities.”

Ratata advised men to support their wives at home for peaceful co-existence, adding that people should avoid molestation, batteries or violence regardless of gender.

He also appreciated all sponsors and partners for supporting the WAZOBIA brand and adding value to people and families.
