CAN appoints Ireoba director of ecumenism, interfaith

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has appointed the Rector, Ibru International Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor, Delta, The Venerable Princewill Onyinyechukwu Ireoba, as its Director of Ecumenism and Interfaith.

• Venerable Wolemonwu Emerges New Rector Of Ibru Centre

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has appointed the Rector, Ibru International Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor, Delta, The Venerable Princewill Onyinyechukwu Ireoba, as its Director of Ecumenism and Interfaith.

The letter to that effect, which dated November 24, 2022, was signed by CAN’s General Secretary, Daramola Joseph Bade. Those appointed alongside with Ireoba had a meeting with the CAN President, Most Rev. Daniel C. Okoh on December 2, 2022 at the National Secretariat, Abuja, where the inauguration of new members took place. Venerable Ireoba will soon move to Abuja to assume duty.

Meanwhile, the Primate of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), His Grace, the Most Rev. (Dr) Henry C. Ndukuba, has officially announced the appointment of the Venerable Stephen Wolemonwu of the Diocese of Ikwerre, Niger Delta Province, Rivers State, as the new Rector of the Ibru International Ecumenical Centre, Agbarha-Otor, Delta State.

According to a statement signed by the General Secretary of the Church, the Venerable Gershinen Paul Dajur, Wolemonwu’s appointment takes effect from January 1, 2023. He added that Venerable Princewill Ireoba served the Church of God very well and urged members to pray for the duo, as they assume duties in their new offices.
