Building Towers of Opportunity: How Virtual Click Support is transforming lives through digital inclusion
On January 25, 2025, Virtual Click Support hosted a groundbreaking event via Zoom, drawing an impressive attendance of 174 participants.
Themed “The Power of Digital Inclusion: Success Stories That Lead to Success,” the event showcased the transformative potential of digital access in shaping careers, particularly in the realms of remote work and freelancing.
Moderated by the eloquent Chinyere Agbasiere, the event highlighted the crucial role of digital skills, tools, and access in today’s increasingly connected world. As a virtual assistant, marketing analyst, and business development strategist, Chinyere has dedicated her platform to guiding individuals on remote work, freelancing, and career development. She is also the founder of Virtual Click Support, a community-driven initiative that helps individuals transition into digital careers and achieve financial independence. Her passion for empowering people to leverage their skills for financial freedom was evident throughout the event, making her the ideal host for this transformative discussion.
With sponsorship from UniCollegeLink, Dekemp – Dr. KC Mentorship Platform, and The New Minds Initiative, the program brought together thought leaders, professionals, and students eager to unlock new opportunities through digital inclusion. These sponsors share a common mission of empowerment: UniCollegeLink simplifies access to global education by assisting students with school applications, admissions, and visa processes; Dekemp – Dr. KC Mentorship Platform provides scholarship opportunities for brilliant young individuals; and The New Minds Initiative focuses on purpose discovery and community transformation through structured teaching and mentorship.
The keynote address was delivered by Yewande Ojomo, a senior digital executive at Ogilvy Nigeria, who captivated the audience with a powerful analogy using the game Jenga to illustrate digital inclusion. In Jenga, players take turns removing blocks from a structured tower and placing them on top, making it increasingly unstable and vulnerable to collapse. Ojomo likened this to the digital world, explaining that just as every block in Jenga plays a role in keeping the structure intact, each digital skill, tool, and opportunity is a building block that strengthens individuals and communities.
“Each Jenga block represents the digital skills you possess, the tools you have access to, and the opportunities that shape your digital knowledge,” she explained. “Digital inclusion is about ensuring that every block is in place, so our collective tower—our society—remains strong and stable. Without access to technology, education, and opportunities, the structure weakens, leaving many at a disadvantage.”
Ojomo emphasized that digital inclusion is not just about access but about empowerment. She called on attendees to embrace a culture of knowledge sharing rather than gatekeeping, noting that even the smallest digital skills—like removing a background on CapCut—could be invaluable to someone just starting their journey. “We need to start teaching more and charging less,” she urged. “The strength of our digital economy depends on how well we equip others with the tools they need to succeed.”
Her message resonated deeply with the audience, many of whom had firsthand experience with the life-changing impact of digital access. Several students shared their own success stories, recounting how they discovered Virtual Click Support at pivotal moments in their lives.
One particularly moving story came from Ijeoma Modesta Okere, a mother of two, who credited Chinyere Agbasiere and the Virtual Click Support community with transforming her life. “After the class, my life changed completely,” she shared. Ijeoma detailed how she secured remote work opportunities, traveled to France, and even built a house—all while balancing motherhood. She praised Chinyere not just as an instructor but as a mentor who instilled the importance of honesty, professionalism, and perseverance in client relations.
The event also featured industry experts who provided actionable insights on how digital professionals can refine their skills and expand their opportunities. Fred Ogbole, a digital marketer, emphasized the transformative role of artificial intelligence, stating, “AI has come to amplify our jobs, not replace them.” He explained that professionals who learn to prompt AI effectively while adding human emotion to their content will have a significant edge in the evolving digital space. Ogbole outlined a strategic approach to content creation, focusing on content vote, content planning, and structured content distribution as essential pillars for success.
Damilare Abolaji, a data analyst, spoke about the power of analytics in shaping careers, particularly for virtual assistants. “With analytics, your value becomes visible and measurable,” he said, highlighting how data-driven decision-making can help professionals refine their strategies and showcase tangible results to clients.
Celestina Dike, a marketing communications expert, underscored the importance of storytelling in content creation. “Storytelling grabs attention every time,” she said, urging content creators to use narratives to engage audiences effectively. She also advised professionals to use audience polls to determine what content resonates most and to always be prepared to pivot when necessary. She emphasized the need for a crisis communication plan, stressing that digital professionals must stay informed, analyze data, focus on high-quality content, and leverage technology to enhance productivity.
In addition to these insights, the event featured a panel discussion where panelists shared their career journeys, offering inspiration and practical advice to those new to the remote work industry. Attendees were encouraged to ask questions, fostering an engaging and interactive dialogue.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Japhet, the founder of UniCollegeLink, who commended the participants for their enthusiasm and emphasized the importance of embracing digital inclusion as a tool for progress. Following the event, the Virtual Click Support community saw an increase in new members, further solidifying its reputation as a transformative platform for digital empowerment.
Virtual Click Support’s event not only celebrated the power of digital inclusion but also highlighted its tangible impact in shaping lives and careers. Through affordable education, expert mentorship, and a thriving community, Virtual Click Support continues to break barriers and create opportunities in the digital economy.
