VampAI, a rising force in Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven talent matching, made a significant impact at the Moonshot by TechCabal conference, Africa’s premier tech gathering, held at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos from October 9-10.

The event, known for attracting thousands of innovators, tech leaders, and investors, served as an ideal stage for VampAI to unveil its vision of reshaping talent acquisition across Africa.

Marking their first appearance at this prestigious conference, the VampAI team actively engaged with industry leaders, forging partnerships and connecting with businesses eager to streamline their recruitment processes.

Their participation highlighted the potential of VampAI’s AI-powered platform to address Africa’s employment challenges, with a mission to connect 10 million Africans to meaningful jobs at a pace seven times faster than traditional methods.

The VampAI spokesperson, Abiodun Akinpelu, said there is so much potential in Africa and also significant challenges.

He said Africa has the youngest population in the world, with over 60 per cent of its population under 25 years old.

According to him, by 2030, young Africans are expected to constitute 42 per cent of global youth, making the continent crucial for the future of work.

He said however, the problem lies in placing the wrong pegs in the wrong holes, noting that to harness the potential that African youth presents, the right talents must be matched to the right roles.

Akinpelu emphasised that VampAI is stepping up to solve this by leveraging artificial intelligence to eliminate barriers to employment and provide job seekers with the right tools for career success.

“VampAI’s platform is designed as an end-to-end talent matching solution, offering job seekers tools for CV building, cover letter generation, interview preparation, and AI-driven job matching. By providing an integrated approach to job search, the platform aims to bridge the talent gap across diverse industries, making it easier for both job seekers and employers to find the right fit,” he said.

The Moonshot conference, a showcase of cutting-edge tech initiatives from across Africa, provided a fitting backdrop for VampAI’s message of empowerment and innovation

The team emphasised their commitment to starting their mission in Nigeria, where over 55 per cent of the population is under 35 years old, before expanding their impact across the continent.

Akinpelu said as Africa’s workforce grows, the need for streamlined hiring processes and career development resources becomes increasingly critical to driving economic growth.

He further stated that as the company continues to develop its AI-powered solutions, it is poised to play a key role in reshaping Africa’s employment landscape, connecting young talent with opportunities that matter and helping to build a brighter future for the continent.
