Drake Breaks The Beatles Billboard Hot 100 Record
Drake has broken the 55-year-old Billboard Hot 100 record for most top five hits formerly held by the music band The Beatles.
The Canadian rapper achieved this fit with his new single “Staying Alive”, featuring Dj Khaled, debuting at No. 5 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100.
Drake now has 30 top five singles on the chart to his name, surpassing The Beatles’ long-held record of 29 that stood for 55 years.
Billboard also noted that with the latest single, Drake now has 100 top 20 entries on the Hot 100, more than any other artist in the chart’s 64-year history.
Taking to Instagram, the OVO head shared a screenshot of the feat with the caption, “Ok, I broke my records for the month now me and @stake need you to do your thing Bitcoin. The post was also followed by a video of him winning $5.13 million in a virtual roulette game, followed by a Bitcoin tracker showing $24,000 earned.
He followed this up with an Insta story of him out at a lavish dinner complete with an empty plate decorated with the words, “Just another celebration.”
This new feat is just one of Drake’s many Billboard wins.
In 2021, he was the first artist to simultaneously debut on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 with “Certified Lover Boy” and single “Way 2 Sexy.” He also made history in June when his new album “Honestly, Nevermind” and 21 Savage-assisted single “Jimmy Cooks” both hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and Billboard Hot 100 at the same time.
