Follow this recipe to make the prefect plate of spaghetti and meatballs.
Ingredients
- Red Bell Peppers
- Mincemeat
- Can Chopped Tomatoes or 5 medium Tomatoes
- Scotch Bonnet
- Medium Onions
- Tablespoons Tomato Purée
- Medium Egg
- Tablespoons Breadcrumbs (See alternative above)
- Cooking Spoons Cooking Oil ( Olive Oil Ideally)
- Inch Ginger Root
- Cloves Garlic Minced
- Tablespoons Chilli flakes (Optional)
- Handful Chopped Basil/ Parsley Leaves (Optional)
- Knorr Chicken Cubes
- Teaspoon Chicken Seasoning
- Teaspoon White/ Black Pepper
- Teaspoon Ginger Powder
- Teaspoon Curry Powder
- Teaspoon Oregano (Optional)
- Teaspoon Dried Thyme
Recipe
- Parboil some pasta in salted boiling water and drain after 10 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix bread crumbs, parsley, parmesan, egg, garlic, salt, red pepper flakes and combine thoroughly then combine into balls.
- Boil some water in a pot on medium heat. Put in the meatballs and cook turning occasionally until it turns brown on all sides. Then move to a plate.
- In the same pot, cook until soft and add crushed tomatoes and bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper and allow to simmer.
- Place the meatballs into the pot and cover. Leave to simmer until the sauce thickens for about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve pasta with meatballs and sauce and top with parmesan.
