Delta council assures public of transparency in procurement
Mr David Igbodo, Delta State Public Procurement Council has assured the state government of the council’s commitment to transparency, accountability and value for money in procurement activities.
Igbodo said this at the inaugural meeting of the council on Friday in Asaba.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the council was inaugurated on Dec. 4, 2024.
He said that the council would look at the legal institutional framework, especially the enforcement of existing procurement laws to aid the council.

”We discussed ways to improve revenue generations and to enhance capacity training for our members leveraging on technology,” he said.
The chairman appealed to the public for a feed back on the council’s activities to enable state achieve its goals and objectives.
Igbodo warned procurement officers against any default, adding that the law would not spare any anybody found wanting
