The wife of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Edo State chapter, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, on Tuesday embarked on a roadshow again to garner support for her husband, Mr. Asue Ighodalo, who is contesting for the governorship position of the state.

The roadshow, which kicked off from the National Museum grounds, Benin, saw a large turnout of women, especially from the Arewa Community in the state, along with other women from the three local government areas: Oredo, Ikpoba Okha, and Egor, respectively.

The roadshow, likened to a carnival of sorts, saw the governorship candidate’s wife dancing and urging the people of the state to come out en masse to vote for her husband, echoing his popular jingle, “If Asue dey there, he go do am, alaghodaro, we not dey go back.”

The roadshow drew the attention of the Oba Market women and passers-by, creating an atmosphere of funfair for the people of the state.

Expressing her joy about the roadshow and the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo, Mrs. Philomena Osaro from Oredo Ward 3 said they would come out en masse to vote for Asue Ighodalo on election day because he is the only one with the capacity to govern the state.

“Come September 21, Mr. Asue Ighodalo is going to be voted for by the people, and he is going to win this election.

“Everybody is going to come out to vote for him because he has the capacity.

“He is a man with compassion for his people and is very accessible. He is the man qualified to occupy the Asadebe Avenue,” Mrs. Osaro said.
