FLBC 2023 : Law institute explores technology integration in African fashion industry
The Fashion Law Institute has concluded the second edition of The Fashion Law and Business Conference, hosted on November 4, 2023.
The event, held at the prestigious Zone Plot 9, Gbagada Industrial Scheme, Lagos, brought together a diverse array of industry experts, legal professionals, entrepreneurs, and creative minds.
The conference with the theme ‘The Future of Fashion with Technology’, provided a groundbreaking platform for discourse on critical issues at the intersection of fashion, law, technology, and business.
“We are proud to provide a space for audacious thinkers and doers in the fashion industry to come together and address key challenges and opportunities,” stated Bernice Ofunre Asein, the Executive Director of the Fashion Law Institute.
Founder and Creative Director, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, delivered an insightful keynote address, setting the tone for a series of thought-provoking panel discussions on fashion technology, business, law, and education.
The event featured a distinguished panel of experts including Bashir Rufai, Opeyemi Iredumare, Annie Oti, Toluwase Olaniyan, Aderinsola Fagure, Oluchi Nwachukwu, Seun Akinloye, Rhoda Aguonoigho, Abigail Israel, Precious Aleaji, Okechukwu Ezeoke, Abubakar Sanusi, Omonigho Aito Imonah, Evioghene Jesumuyiwa, and Morenikeji Edward-Ettu, among others.
Prestigious fashion institutions, including Rhoda Michaels Fashion School, July By Oma Fashion Academy, and Dynamic Fashion School, also participated in the conference, promoting collaboration and innovation within the industry.
The Fashion Law and Business Conference spotlighted the dynamic nature of the fashion industry, focusing on technology, business, law, education, and policy. “Our aim is to equip, empower, inspire, and advance sustainable growth in the fashion industry by addressing critical legal and business issues,” emphasized the Fashion Law Institute.
