Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has expressed optimism that the current socio-economic woes faced by Nigerians would be a thing of the past in a matter of months.

Speaking during the Christmas Mass, held at his ancestral home town at Lima Catholic Church, Ozuh, Omuma, in Oru East Local Council of the state, Uzodimma, noted that the reforms put in place by President Bola Tinubu’s administration would make citizens better tomorrow, urging Nigerians to be patient.

At the Mass, attended by his wife, Chioma, and other members of his family, as well as other government officials, the governor remarked that the season calls for show of love to each other, families, communities, local councils, states and the nation at large.

He pointed out that efforts being made to get the Port Harcourt refinery back on stream and the exchange rate showing signs of stability are veritable signs that “Nigerians will soon smile.”

The governor, therefore, urged support for Tinubu, who, he said, “is determined to deliver on his electoral promises and mandate.” Appealing for soul searching and improvement of successes, as well as jettisoning failure, he said: “It is a period of showing love to the family, and even to our wives and children. It is a season that should provoke a new attitude, and I think of collectively building our state and not destroying it.”
