NEMA distributes relief materials to victims of banditry, windstorm in Kaduna
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed relief materials to victims of banditry attacks and winstorm in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna state.
Mr Suleiman Mohammed, North-West Zonal Coordinator of the agency, disclosed this during the distribution exercise in Kaduna on Tuesday.
According to him, although the palliatives would not solve all the problems of the victims, they would alleviate their suffering.
He listed the relief materials distributed to the beneficiaries from different communities as food, non food items and clothings for women and children.
Mohammed said that the distribution was with the support of the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA).
Dr Amos Magaji, member, representing Zangon Kataf and Jaba Federal Constituency, appreciated the Director-General, Mrs Zubaida Umar, for her relentless efforts to provide prompt support whenever the need arose.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the gesture was extended to the people who suffered bandits’ onslaught, with women mainly widows and orphans benefiting from the Federal Government’s support.
