Ondo monarch, Owa of Idanre, joins ancestors at 102
The Owa of Idanre Kingdom, Oba Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, has joined his ancestors at 102.
The Guardian gathered that the first-class monarch, who ascended the throne in 1976, passed away after a brief illness.
The demise of the monarch was disclosed on Wednesday at the Owa’s palace by the Lisa of Idanre, who is also the traditional Prime Minister of the kingdom, High Chief Christopher Akindolire.
The reign of the monarch witnessed notable development, progress, and numerous transformational innovations in the hilly community.
“He will be remembered for his passionate love of his people, fairness, impartial judgments, promotion of the culture and tradition of his people, and above all, his fear of God,” a source told The Guardian.
Meanwhile, necessary traditional rites were already being put in place regarding the passage of the monarch.
