To give back to the community, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Lagos Province 62 has rehabilitated Bayo Rotimi Street in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The street, which was previously in a deplorable condition, had hindered commercial activities and daily life for residents and business owners in the area.

The rehabilitation project, which was undertaken by RCCG Lagos Province 62, has brought immense relief to the community.

According to Pastor Paschal Udah, Pastor-in-Charge of the Province, the project was part of their Christian social responsibility to give back to the community.

“We recognised the need for repair and decided to take action to improve the lives of those living and working in the area,” he said.

Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of the Province, Pastor Solomon Salau, added: “This project is not only about repairing a road but also about sharing the love of God with the community. We believe that by demonstrating our care and concern for the community, we can show them the love of Christ.

“The rehabilitation of Bayo Rotimi Street was part of RCCG’s ongoing efforts to give back to the community and demonstrate its commitment to corporate social responsibility.’’

“This project is expected to benefit over 3,000 people residing in the area,” he said.

Assistant Pastor-in-Charge of LP62 (CSR), Pastor Gbenga Okunlaya expressed his gratitude to the church leadership for approving the project.

According to him, the initiative will enhance the spread of the gospel of God further into the community, especially among unbelievers, potentially leading also to an increased impact on both church members and non-members.

With this project, RCCG Lagos Province 62, he said, has demonstrated its commitment to making a positive impact in the community, which some members of the community and leaders, equally acknowledged.
