44 ships to arrive Lagos ports with foods, petroleum products

FORTY FOUR ships laden with general cargo, foods, petroleum products and other goods, are expected to arrive Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday in Lagos.

The NPA stated this in its daily publication, the `Shipping Position,’ made available to newsmen.

According to the NPA‎, the ships are expected to arrive from March 5 to March 24.

It said that 24 of the expected ships would arrive with containers, while five others were expected to arrive the ports with general cargo.

The document explained that eight ships would sail into the ports with petrol, base oil and ‎kerosene, while six other ships would arrive with rice in bags, bulk malt, bulk salt, bulk sugar and soya beans.

It indicated that 16 ships had arrived the ports with foods and petroleum products, waiting to berth.

The publication said that eight of the ships sailed in with rice in bags and crude palm oil.

The remaining eight ships arrived with petrol and kerosene. (NAN)
