MR BOBOYE Oyeyemi, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), has pledged to provide decent accommodation for road marshals across the country in order to enhance their welfare and productivity.

The corps marshal made the pledge on Thursday in Kaduna, when he inspected progress of work at FRSC’s 100 housing units under construction.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the houses are being constructed in partnership with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).

We want a situation whereby when our staff retire, they can have somewhere comfortable to stay.

We intend to provide houses all over the states in the country, so that even when you are not in the state you can acquire a house.

You can be a landlord somewhere and be collecting rent; it is just to prepare you for your retirement so that you may not end up retiring without a house,” Oyeyemi said.

He commended the FHA for executing the project according to specification, and expressed the hope that work on the two and three bedroom housing units would be completed on scheduled.

Prof. Mohammed Al- Amin, FHA Chief Executive Officer, said the project was in line with the authority’s mandate to provide decent accommodation to Nigerians.

He pledged to complete the project on schedule, and called on other agencies to partner with the FHA to provide houses for their workers. (NAN)
