AS part of preparations and efforts to ensure that the forthcoming general election is credible, a group, Bara Solutions & Sunesis has launched an online platform that will allow the electorate  take part in vote counting and tallying.

In a statement made available by the group to The Guardian Friday, the electronic application which is called Iwitness would allow voters to verify, count and tally every vote in an election.

The statement lamented that large segments of voters across the country undermine the electoral process, and as such undermine the outcome of elections. It also added that large segments of voters sell their votes and lack the interest to defend their votes.

The application which is available for download on www.iwitnessng.com can be used on iOS (Iphone and ipad) and android platforms. It also allows a feed in by short message services from all mobile devices allowing a wide range of options.

Iwitness allows the users to report unfolding events through word documents, videos and pictures from their different polling units.
