PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan will Sunday meet with an audience of about 5,000 youths in Lagos. Tagged Meet The President, the event is organised by PVC which stands for Participate, Vote, Country – a group of Nigerian young professionals, Nigerian businessmen, entrepreneurs and civil society groups committed to mobilising public action for national development and youth participation in politics.

Speaking on Saturday in Lagos, the Executive Director of PVC, Mr. Audu Maikori, noted that the event would be a youthful mix of music, comedy and goodwill messages targeted at young Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 35. Youth icons, young professionals and celebrities within and outside Lagos are expected to attend the event and have an interaction with the President.

Organised around the concept of PVC – participating in the electoral process, voting for credible candidates and patriotism to country, the event will galvanize youth support for President Jonathan’s re-election using the power of new media and pop culture in a manner as has never been witnessed in recent times.

The event will be televised live on AIT and NTA and streamed live on YouTube to online viewers across the world.
