Suicide bomber kills three in Yobe

BARELY two days after the Damaturu blast that killed eight people, another suspected suicide bomber Tuesday detonated an Improvised ExplosiveDevice (IED) strapped to his waist, killing three people and injuring 12 others at a restaurant in Potiskum,Yobe State. 

Potiskum is the main commercial city and 100 kilomtres west of the state capital.

The Yobe State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO, Toyin Gbadegesin confirmed Tuesday’s incident in a telephone interview, stating that: “The suspect blew up himself and two others at the Alamin Restaurant along Damaturu road, Potiskum.”

The bomb blast, according to him, occurred at 2:20pm this afternoon, while the bodies and injured persons were evacuated and taken to the General Hospital, Potiskum.
