Former People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Vice Chairman, South West, has urged voters to shun inducement allegedly offered by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and vote against the ruling party.

While imploring the electorate to vote their conscience and make correct electoral decisions on November 16, the PDP chieftain emphasised that only the PDP has the genuine capabilities to pull the state out of the current doldrums.

Speaking in Akure, the state capital, Olafeso alleged that the APC-led government had been hoarding the palliatives delivered to the state by the Federal Government to induce voters during Saturday’s poll.

He said: “The people should collect whatever they are given during the election by APC and still vote them out. The greatest lesson you will teach somebody in power who is corrupt and not doing what is expected of him is to take what belongs to you and do the right thing.

“They can’t force you to vote for them after you have taken whatever they wanted to give you that they should have given to you in the first instance. Nobody can say don’t take whatever they want to offer, but the truth is that you should vote your conscience by making correct electoral decisions.”

Olafeso, who alleged that Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has shown no significant achievements during his ten months in office, emphasised that an Ajayi-led government would prioritise the needs of the people if elected on Saturday.
