Family of the slain monarch of Agodo community in Ewekoro Local Council of Ogun State, the late Oba Ayinde Odetola, has appealed to the state government, Commissioner of Police (CP), members of the state House of Assembly and Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, to ensure that those involved in the killing are brought to book.

The appeal was made during a protest at the governor’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. Mr. Dotun Odetola, who spoke through Joseph Adenekan, said that some hoodlums, armed with dangerous objects, attacked Oba Odetola along with four members of his family, adding that the monarch was burnt inside his Toyota Sienna vehicle marked APP-555-GF, which they drove to a nearby distance before setting it ablaze.

He, however, said that other victims survived the attack and are currently in critical conditions in the hospital, noting that the attackers were known in Agodo village before the attack as a murderous gang.

Earlier, the Alake of Egbaland said he had been re-assured by the Ogun State Police Command that a thorough and unbiased investigation is being carried out to unravel the causes of the incident.
