Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State will soon announce his new commissioner and other aides.
The state House of Assembly, under the speakership of Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe, successfully screened about twelve persons as commissioner nominees on Thursday.
Prominent among the screened Commissioner Nominees included Hon. Declan Emelumba, former Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Hon. Raph Nwosu, former Commissioner for Works, and Hon. Barr. Major Ejikeme Emenike, former Commissioner for Environment.
Others are Hon. Chimezie Amadi, Hon. Bede Ekeh, Chief Cosmas Madauba, Dr Sir Chika Benson Abazu, Ozo Obinna Ogwuegbu, Hon. Osakwe Modestus, Hon. Anyanwu Anselem Ezechinyere, Hon. Onyeoha Obinna Evaristus and Hon. Mrs Nkechi Ugwu.
The Guardian gathered that aside from the Commissioner Nominees that were being screened, the Governor is also set to make public the appointment of some person as his Special Assistants and Senior Special Assistants.
Recall that Uzodimma had shortly after his second tenure inauguration in January dissolved his entire previous appointees.
Till now, there have been several calls on the governor to appoint new aides to help him pilot the affairs of the state.
