Yahaya sacks three commissioners, reassigns six
Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has sacked three commissioners and reassigned six others in a minor cabinet reshuffle.
The Guardian learnt that Alhassan Kwami (Information and Culture), Dr. Ahmed Gana (Health) and Mela Nunghe (Special Duties) were sacked for poor performance.
A statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Ibrahim Njodi, directed them to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.
However, Mohammed Adamu was redeployed from Lands and Survey to Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives; Dr. Habu Dahiru (Education to Health) and Usman Biri (Rural, Community Development and Cooperatives to Lands and Survey).
Others were: Julius Ishaya (Youth Development to Information and Culture), Dauda Zambuk (Internal Security and Ethical Orientation to Education) and Adamu Kupto (Housing and Urban Development to Internal Security and Ethical Orientation).
The governor, however, wished the sacked commissioners well in their future endeavours.
He nominated Christopher Maisheru, Abdullahi Kwami and Abubakar to the House of Assembly for consideration Musa as commissioners.
