In praise of Benjamin B. Nungwa
SIR: The effort made by Honourable Benjamin B. Nungwa toward the availability of power supply at Ishagev-ya, Kwande Local Council Area of Benue State has to be recognised. Nungwa used his personal income and purchased transformers for the people of Ishagev-ya so as to fast track government project (electricity supply) for the people in question.
Nungwa is a member, representing Kwande West at Benue State House of Assembly, Makurdi. As I write now, there is jubilation in all parts of Ishagev-ya for the new development in their town. For the first time in their history, they (Ishagev-ya people) can see electricity supply, use it and feel it.
Let me not forget to thank Governor Gabriel Suswam who commissioned the power plant. I have to, at this point, confess that somebody is representing and presenting the dividends of democracy to the people of Ishagev-ya for the first time.
I praise Nungwa, not to impress him but rather to encourage him to do more for his people. Other honourables should emulate Nungwa by contributing to ongoing government’s projects in their respective areas for the interest of their people.
