… Urges end to internal feud, calls for reconciliation
… Says Tunji-Ojo’s ‘people-centred’ approach draws defectors to party
The Director-General of BTO4PBAT, a pro-Tinubu support group, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, stressed on Tuesday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised to retain its electoral supremacy in Ondo State, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
While stating that opposition parties lacked the might to match the organisational depth and popular appeal of the ruling party, Adojutelegan pointed to the APC’s grassroots network across all 18 local council areas of the state.
According to the director-general in a statement, the party’s consistent delivery of democratic dividends and its track record of inclusive governance have created an unshakeable bond with the electorate, one he maintained will translate into another resounding victory at the polls.
With Adojutelegan emphasising that APC is determined to leave nothing to chance in the state, he harped on what he described as the pivotal role of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.
He stated that Tunji-Ojo’s leadership and people-centred initiatives have galvanised party faithful and attracted defectors from rival camps, which has further consolidated the APC’s hold on the state’s political landscape.
According to Adojutelegan, the minister’s commitment to party building, grassroots empowerment, and stakeholder engagement has inspired confidence, fostered cohesion, and reinforced the APC’s position as the preferred choice of the people.
He said, “Now that the party’s primaries have been concluded, it is time to move beyond internal contests and embrace reconciliation, unity, and a shared sense of purpose. Every stakeholder, elected official, party leader, and loyal member must work together to consolidate our achievements and ensure the APC records a decisive victory in the 2027 general elections.
“As part of this collective effort, BTO For PBAT 27 remains steadfast in its commitment to mobilising party members and eligible voters across all 18 local government areas and 203 wards of Ondo State to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
“The movement firmly believes that expanding voter registration and encouraging greater civic participation are critical to securing victory for the APC and the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
“The APC has consistently demonstrated its capacity to provide purposeful leadership, deliver democratic dividends, and drive sustainable development. By remaining united, focused, and committed to the party’s ideals, we will continue to earn the trust, confidence, and overwhelming support of the people of Ondo State.
“The time for division is over. The time for reconciliation, mobilisation, and victory is now. Together, with one vision and one purpose, we will strengthen our party, deepen our grassroots engagement, and deliver a convincing victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.”
