APC accuses opposition of undermining Tinubu’s achievements

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised individuals and groups for undermining the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Sokoto, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the APC National Chairman, Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi, alleged that critics, particularly from opposition parties, were using social media platforms to spread misleading reports about the President’s performance.

Dingyadi said such actions were driven by selfish interests rather than patriotism, national unity, and commitment to nation-building.

He condemned what he termed the use of misinformation, unfounded allegations, and political propaganda to discredit the administration, especially in northern Nigeria.

According to him, Nigerians should instead acknowledge what he described as improvements in security, ongoing development projects, and reforms across key sectors under the Tinubu administration.

“The use of vulgar language, excessive criticism, and the spread of false information is not expected from responsible and patriotic citizens, particularly when considering the state of the country prior to this administration,” he said.

Dingyadi further noted that the party’s National Working Committee, led by Nentawe Yilwatda, remained committed to driving economic transformation, enhancing security, and improving agriculture, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and social welfare programmes.

He added that the APC-led government would continue efforts to improve the living conditions of Nigerians.

He however urged the public to be wary of what he described as misleading narratives from opposition elements seeking support by discrediting government efforts.
