TEETH 4 TEETH … With Justin Akpovi-Esade

At first, T4T thought it was a skit, especially in this era of skits making, but after a ‘forensic' examination (T4T na DSS special agent now sha), he concluded that it was real, and truly, he has not been himself since.

That Disturbing Church Video
At first, T4T thought it was a skit, especially in this era of skits making, but after a ‘forensic’ examination (T4T na DSS special agent now sha), he concluded that it was real, and truly, he has not been himself since. It was the video of a woman in her late 30s being flogged with a cane by another woman on the orders of a church Prophet in the altar of one of those ‘prophetic’ churches and the caption stated that her ‘offence’ was that her little child was crying and disturbing the service! Really?

When T4T was small and his strict Catholic parents were still dragging him to church, there was always this ‘holy’ looking elderly woman walking from pew to pew ensuring that restless children were shooed into silence while the priest delivered his sermon. But even at that, most kids still cut loose and disturbed the service at regular intervals and no parent was flogged for that. So, when did things degenerate to this sorry level that a parent is being flogged at the church altar because her innocent two year old child behaved like a child, expectedly, in public?

The way the Prophet stood in the video like a Pharaoh as his assistant was flogging the mother of the ‘guilty’ child was the highlight of the video. If Jesus returns, as widely believed he would, he will meet a stiff competition among these modern day men of God.

That Yoruba Actress And Her Mother Tongue Interference
MOST of us have mother tongue interferences, that is why we are who we are, but if you are an actor, it is believed you must have worked on any interferences you may have to avoid any embarrassment like what T4T witnessed during the week when he was watching this Yoruba movie on Pay TV.

Directed by Kenny Ogungbe, the movie featured veteran actor Jide Kosoko who was a politician with a band of hired killers with the objective of taking out his strong opponents and one of the assassins was popular Yoruba actor, Wunmi Ajiboye, wife of the Director, Ogungbe.

At a point in the movie, Ajiboye was issuing a threat to one of the assassins who missed his target twice, telling him their boss, Kosoko, was unhappy and getting impatient with his ineptitude. What T4T heard was, “you failed twice, you better get him (the target) or ‘helse’…” ‘Helse’? T4T tried to process what Aunty Wunmi meant by ‘helse’, and then the nickel dropped. It was else the actor actually said but her mother tongue interference made it come out as ‘helse’.

Now, this is what T4T had been saying for years now. These Yoruba actors should stick to speaking the Yoruba language only, in their movies. Most times, their attempts to impress by speaking English language always come out disastrous. Speak Yoruba, na Yoruba movie dem call am, not ‘English-Yoruba’.
As for Aunty Wunmi, you are a fantastic actor, T4T enjoys your movies, you dey try, but if you must continue to speak English in movies, go and work on your mother tongue interference. Nor vex.

Mikel Obi, Be Calming Down
FORMER Super Eagles captain and midfielder as well as Chelsea star, now runs a podcast, after he retired from professional football. Mikel’s podcast show is popular, T4T is one of his followers. And so, there was this edition T4T saw earlier in the week where the topic was Victor Osimhen, arguably the hottest Nigerian and African striker in Europe at the moment and T4T was shocked when Mikel in the midst of praising Osimhen said “the kid…”

Osimhen a ‘kid’? And that came from a Mikel? Now, T4T had to look up Mikel’s age. He is 37 at the moment and Osimhen is going 28 and to Mikel, Osimhen is a ‘kid’? If he had said “the young man”, it would have been more acceptable. Oh, okay, Osimhen is a kid in the eyes of Mikel because he played in Europe before him, he was also not just a Super Eagles player during his time, and he was also captain at a point.

Now, the question T4T wants to ask here is, if Mikel could call Osimhen a ‘kid’, wetin a Segun Odegbami or even a Jay Jay Okocha go call Osimhen na, maybe na ‘tata’, abi?

Mr. Governor, Stop It, If It’s True
THERE is this news making the rounds that Governor of Anambra, oga Charles Soludo, has ordered his newly inaugurated ‘task force’ to be arresting young girls that did not wear a bra in public. Anambra residents are the ones making this allegation but T4T cannot independently verify the claim and there was some kind of denial from the government. But one thing is sure, young women are being harassed and arrested by government officials for not wearing bra or pants as some claim.

When did it become a criminal offence for a woman not to wear a bra especially if the dress she is putting on covers her breast and body? Wetin carry anybody eye go woman chest wey make am see weda she nor wear bra?

When did Anambra become a Sharia state? Anyway, if it is true Governor Soludo gave that obnoxious order that has put women who do not wear bra at risk, then he should rescind it immediately and if he did not give such orders, he should publicly tell the goons harassing women to stop!
