Established to make the world accessible to Nigerians by making visa processes seamless through professional guidance, Doorsteps Travels & Tours recently unveiled a new service centre at Ikota Shopping Complex VGC Ajah Lagos state.
The event, which was attended by people from all walks of life, featured a tour of the facility which offers a more elaborate training space for young professionals in the industry, focusing on visa processing and travel industry skills.
The Managing Director Doorsteps Travels & Tours Oluwatobi Michael-Ikinbor revealed that the travel brand, which she co-founded with her husband Michael Ikinbor was established in January 26, 2013 but was officially opened in May 2014.
She said: “Doorsteps Travels & Tours was created from my passion for traveling. We assist our clients with visas to the UK, Canada, Europe, South Africa, Brazil, and USA, but we’re open to all countries with borders and immigration services. We work with tourists, individuals, corporate organisations, and students.
“We partner with schools in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Qatar, UAE, France, Netherlands, Finland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, and Belgium, assisting with study visas.
“Our brand also focuses on training and mentorship, protocol services, and immigration assistance for incoming visitors to Nigeria.”
On the brand’s travel and tour packages Oluwatobi Michael-Ikinbor said: “We offer well-tailored tour packages for all seasons, including budget-friendly options to Qatar, Kenya, Rwanda, Singapore, and South Africa. We also have cruise packages for Europe, US, and Asia.”
Speaking on domestic tours and how the brand sells Nigeria as a tour package, she said: “60% of our tours are domestic, mostly in Lagos state but we are presently planning a train tour to Abeokuta for our tourists to walk through and experience history at the Presidential Museum, the Ancient Alake Palace, Olumo Rock etc. Our Lagos attraction sites include J.Randle Cultural Centre, Nike Art Gallery, Blue Rail Train Ride, The Upside House, beaches, and restaurants.”
Oluwatobi Michael-Ikinbor was born and raised in Ibadan, Oyo State. She has a Diploma in Industrial and Labour Relations, Bsc in Economics from Olabisi Onabanjo University, Msc Entrepreneurship from Nexford University.
