THIS week’s episode of Late Night with Nike Oshinowo, show is one for every fashionista and budding creative. The show delves into the lives of Nigerian fashion icons Folake Coker, Founder, Tiffany Amber and Mai Atafo, Creative Director, Mai Atafo Inspired.

    Mrs. Coker who transitioned from a petroleum lawyer to one of Nigeria’s foremost designers discusses the inspiration behind Tiffany Amber, and its diffusion lines, Folake Coker and TAN by Tiffany Amber. She gave candid inspirational advice to young designers on how to run a successful fashion label in Africa. Mai Atafo on the other hand, explained what his job entails and where he learned to be so well versed in branding. 

     Both guests also spoke on broader issues facing the fashion industry in Nigeria, including barriers to making luxury goods, the future of the industry and how to create legacies to rival renowned houses such as Chanel, Gucci and Versace.
