Thrills, Frills Of Valentine Rave Party In Lagos
Though the 2015 Valentine Day may have come and gone, the memories will linger on in the hearts of thousands of guests and fun loving youths that graced the Valentine Rave Party staged at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos. The show congregated leading Nigerian Disc Jockeys (DJs) to battle for supremacy on the wheel of steel to thrill guests all through the night to mark the day.
Indeed, it was truly a worthwhile experience, as fun-seekers, lovers and adults in their 30s and 40s came out en-masse to enjoy good music and unprecedented celebration of love. Put together to celebrate lover’s day, the party featured six of Nigeria’s most sought-after DJs, including Jimmy Jatt, Neptune, Sose, Big N, Obi and Lambo, the only female DJ on parade. One after the other, they rendered greatest collection and mixture of sounds and music that got many on their feet all through the night. In what manay described as a perfect mix, the DJs conserved almost all generations; from new to old skool tunes.
The DJs’ session was a fascinating one as the DJs took turns to entertain guests and possibly win more fans. Most fascinating was the inspiring female DJ Lambo, who challenged DJ Jimmy Jatt, Neptune, Sose, Big N and Obi, as she kept guests dancing all through the night. It was a tight contest as they all showed why they are among the few best DJs in this part of the World.
“It’s was great show,” said Taiwo Adeniyi. “The DJs are amazingly excellent, especially as they take turns in keeping the show lively all through the night. I must confess, this is my best Valentine’s party ever. I must say a big thank you to MTN for throwing its support with other brands to make this event come to live.”
Complementing Adeniyi’s view, Kosoko Abiodun, who came with his wife expressed his opinion about the event.
“Sincerely, it’s a well packaged valentine’s show. You can see how the DJs are making my wife and I sweating through good music. Music is a food for the soul; it ignites and unites the hearts, setting a tone for expression and this medium has made it possible for our hearts to express our love.”
Meanwhile, the Telecommunications Company has always being at the forefront of creating an enabling platform to show and express love. This it has continued to exhibit via it new campaign tagged ‘Be Better’, an idea initiated to encourage every member of the society to be better in whatever they do.
One of the attendees, a 32-year old IT professional, Bridget Williams commended the brand for being passionate about its customers,
“Youths and Nigerians in general, love music, it is one of their ways of life, so it is very pleasant and remarkable for a big brand like MTN to encourage them in this regards. Since music is the food for the soul and love nourishes the soul, it is a great thing to see the brand making the lover’s day an exciting one through music” she stated.
Besides investing resources in making sure this year’s valentine celebration was a remarkable one, MTN took the show of love to another level by showering guests with goodie bags stuffed with exciting gifts. Kenny Ogungbe, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha as well as leading Nigerian musicians like Chidimma were part of the groove that lasted into the early hours of the following day.
