PSG wants for Adebayor on loan
EMMANUEL ADEBAYOR could be given a potential escape route out of Tottenham with Paris Saint-Germain keen to take him on loan, according to reports.
Adebayor, who skippered Spurs last week in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final against Sheffield United, has been a peripheral figure under Mauricio Pochettino this term.
The Togolese striker is one of a handful of players who have been touted for a White Hart Lane exit along with Paulinho and Aaron Lennon.
Moreover, Spurs are keen to clear their wage bill with Adebayor pocketing £100,000 a week.
According to fresh reports, PSG are keen to take Adebayor on a six-month loan deal, although the financial structure of a potential move is unclear.
Should they pull it off, it could set into motion an interesting sequence of events with Ezequiel Lavezzi tipped to join Liverpool this window.
PSG have also been weighing up a surprise loan deal for Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj, but Louis van Gaal is unwilling to part company with the 19-year-old.
