Shalom Schools sports meet holds Friday

THE annual inter-house sports meet of Shalom Schools comes up Friday at the school’s sports complex in Baruwa, Ipaja, Lagos.

   A release signed by the Proprietress of the school, Mrs. Adedayo Odeka, said the event will begin at 10.00 a.m and will be chaired by Rufus Obadare.

  According to the release, the students and pupils are expected to showcase their sporting talents in track and field events, including 100 metres, 200 metres, long jump, high jump, shot put, sack race, slippers race, the relays, Orobo race and discuss.

   Other events slated for the day are staff race, parents’ race, old students’ race, and invitational relays.

  Meanwhile, defending champions in the College and Primary categories, Wine and Yellow houses respectively, have vowed not to relinquish their titles.
