Vine House Wins Superkids’ Sports Meet
VINE House on Wednesday emerged tops at the inter-house sports competition of Superkids Children School, held at the National Youth Service Corps pitch, Agege.
Vine House won a total of 17 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals at the end of the event, while Palm House was second with15 gold, 14 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Ceder House came third with nine gold, nine silver and 15 bronze medals, just as Olive House occupied the rear position with six gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Olive House, however, emerged winner of the Match Past, while Palm and Vine settled for the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Chairman of the event, Fatai Fadeyi, commended the pupils for showing a great spirit of sportsmanship throughout the competition.
“I am so happy with the atmosphere. There are great talents here just as we have all over the place. Those in authorities should always attend events like this to identify hidden talents,” Fadeyi said.
Head of the School, Mrs. Titilayo Olufemi said she was happy with the standard of the competition and the huge turn-out of parents for the event
Chairman of the organizing team, Emele Morris, attributed the success of the competition to hard work by the eight-man organizing team and the officials.
