NRFF signs deal with Cross-Fit Gymnasium
As part of its efforts to ensure the national rugby team (Black Stallions) attained global reckoning, the Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) has announced a strategic partnership deal with Cross-fit Lagos Gymnasium, the leader in varied, high-intensity functional movements in Nigeria.
According to the Federation, the deal gives the organisation the responsibility to carry out rugby-specific strength and conditioning exercises with Black Stallions players.
Speaking on the partnership, NRFF President, Edward Fom, said the fitness programme would go a long way in repositioning the national team for future challenges.
“We are pleased to announce that Cross-fit Lagos Gymnasium has partnered with the NRFF to provide a comprehensive strength and conditioning programme for our national teams.
“Cross-fit Lagos owner, Isaac Amadi, will also provide individualised consulting to players on a question-answer basis. The programme’s goals will be to improve team fitness, strength, and proper muscle development to help prevent injury and win games,’’ he said.
Speaking on the partnership, the owner of the fitness outfit, Amadi, said the body would provide the best services as obtainable in international best practices.
“We at Cross-Fit Lagos Gym are glad to have a partnership with the NRFF for their strength and conditioning training. We are committed to providing all the best of our coaching skills and knowledge to go with our facility to enhance the Black Stallions’ fitness goals for the period of two years, while we are open to extend the time. We will be open as well to travel with the team to the camp if needful as the Black Stallions slogan says One Team One Dream,’’ he said.
