High jumper, Doreen Amata, will join the best women high jumper in the world to compete in the finals of the event today.

Also, Team Nigeria’s 4x100m and 4x400m women will participate in the heats of the events today. The finals of the women 4x100m is slated for this evening, while the finals of the women 4x400m will hold tomorrow evening.

Team Nigeria has made the finals and semi-final in some events, while some athletes have set new personal bests.

Media Officer of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), Olukayode Thomas, said in a message to The Guardia yesterday that the performances of some athletes, especially in events like women heptathlon, men triple jump, and others events was clear indication that Nigeria track and field team have every good chances in Congo Brazzaville 2015 All Africa Games.
