THE Enugu Diocese of the Anglican Communion has introduced a Bible game show competition tagged “who knows the Bible?” for youths. Patterned after the television game show ‘Who wants to be a millionaire?’ the monthly Bible competition in which winners are rewarded with various gifts from the Church is to encourage youths “study and internalise the Bible so as to guide their thoughts and behaviour.”

The maiden edition of the competition was used to mark the 61st birthday anniversary of the Bishop of the Diocese and Archbishop of Enugu Ecclesiastical Province, Rt. Revd. Emmanuel Chukwuma recently.

Held at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Archbishop Chukwuma noted that the society had degenerated because youths no longer know the word of God.

Said he: “I am very honoured to have this because this is one of the greatest things you can do as a church to encourage the younger ones to be Bible-based.”
