Olayide Oluwafunmilayo Soaga is a Nigerian journalist with four years of experience. A Political Science graduate of the University of Ilorin and an MA student in History and Diplomacy at LASU, she reports for The Guardian Newspaper and previously worked with the Foundation for Investigative Journalism. Her work, spanning health, gender, insecurity and development, has appeared in The Guardian UK, The Continent, El País, IJNet, The Africa Report, African Arguments and elsewhere. She was runner-up for CJID’s Best Solutions Journalism Award (2024) in West Africa and a finalist for the 2025 West Africa Media Excellence Awards.
