Fire incident at Works ministry HQ in Abuja
A minor fire incident has occurred at about 11: 30 am Friday at the Block A of the Federal Ministry of Works Headquarters in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The incident which was as a result of a spark from a faulty Circuit Breaker in the Electrical Control Room on the ground floor of the building.
Station Commander, Federal Fire Service, Mr. Kekai Bekebi told journalists that there was a quick response from his team, who were able to put the situation under control by deploying available fire extinguishers.
He added that they were able to mobilise their personnel to get the fire quenched and also had a successful evacuation of the staff that were at the site of the incident.
Director, Human Resource Management, Mr. Aliyu Abdullahi stated that there was no loss of document, no injuries and no casualties recorded, and commended the Staff for their general conduct during the incident.
